How Rutan Athletic Club collects, uses, and protects your information. Effective October 15, 2026.

Rutan Athletic Club (“RAC,” “we,” “us”) is a family-owned gym located at 8050 Frank Ave NW, North Canton, OH 44720. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through rutanathleticclub.com, our online forms, and our text message and email communications.

Information you give us
Free week and contact forms: your first and last name, phone number, email address, and your consent to receive text messages and emails.
Memberships, challenges, and class bookings: the information needed to create your member account and process payment, such as your name, contact details, and billing information.
Online store purchases: your name, email address, billing details, and order information.
Waivers: the information requested on our facility waiver, such as your name, contact details, emergency contact, signature, and any health information the waiver asks you to disclose.
Team applications: the information you provide on applications such as our Powerlifting Team form.
Messages to us: anything you share when you call, text, or email us.
We do not see or store your full credit or debit card number. Payments are processed by our payment providers (see Section 5).
Information collected automatically
Website visit data: we use a website visitor tracking service that records information such as pages viewed, referring website, approximate location, device and browser type, and IP address. This may be used to understand how people find us and, in some cases, to identify the business or person visiting.
Embedded content: some pages load fonts, videos, booking calendars, and forms from other providers, which receive standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) when the page loads.
3. How we use your information
To respond to your free week request and help you schedule your first class.
To create and manage your membership, bookings, check-ins, and challenge participation.
To process payments, fulfill orders, and send receipts.
To send class reminders, account updates, and, with your consent, promotional messages.
To keep our facility safe, including maintaining signed waivers.
To understand how our website is used and improve it.
To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
4. Text messages & email
If you provide your phone number and consent, RAC may send you text messages about your free week, class bookings, reminders, account updates, and promotions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or membership.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. We may still send non-marketing messages about your account, bookings, or purchases.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the gym and this website, and only as needed for them to provide their services, including:
PushPress — membership management, class booking, check-in, online forms, payments, and text/email messaging.
Stripe and Cloudflare — payment processing and secure checkout for our online store.
BreezeDoc — electronic waiver signing.
Deftform — team application forms.
VisitorTracking.com — website visit analytics.
Microsoft 365 — business email.
GitHub — website hosting.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our members, staff, or the public, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
6. Cookies & browser storage
Our website saves a small amount of information in your own browser, such as the contents of your shopping cart and whether you have dismissed a promotion. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Third-party services embedded on our pages (listed in Section 5) may set their own cookies under their own policies. You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings, though some features, such as the shopping cart, may not work without them.
Our website does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
7. Third-party sites & services
Our website links to sites we do not operate, including our apparel store, the PushPress member app in the Apple App Store and Google Play, and our social media pages. Information you provide on those sites is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
8. Data retention & security
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your membership and waiver records, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, and our website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices
Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texts.
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to opt out of marketing emails.
Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We will respond within a reasonable time, though we may need to keep certain records, such as signed waivers and payment records, where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
10. Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Registrations for youth programs must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
